Shabu Shabu 强强滚 (Japanese Steamboat)
The uniqueness of the restaurant is that everyone has own pot of soup, thus cleanliness is guarantee
d and one can choose his favourite flavour and ingredients.
More than 100 types of steamboat ingredients are rolling around in the middle of the long table to let the customers to choose from. The restaurant owner assured that the ingredients are fresh and prepared daily.
I visited the restaurant recently, i like the pork slices most. It tastes wonderful with the dipping! It is really inadequate to decribe its scrumptious by word. You must try it out yourself!

辣椒板面 Spicy Pan Mee
The best pan mee i ever tried in KL. For those chili lovers, i would definitely recommend you to try
this cuisine.
As the name implies, the specialty of this cuisine is with the chili condiment. The dried version of pan mee is more popular here. A bowl of pan mee is served with fried ikan bilis, minced pork, shallot, crispy fried onion sprinkled over the noodles and topped with an egg poached to perfection. A bowl of soup with sayur manis is also provided with each serving. Customers are to add the chili condiment to their pan mee themselves. Therefore you may taste and add in more chili up to your own tollerance level.
Mind you that the chili is really spicy and you definitely will sweat a lot while having this meal.

Restaurant Yap Chuan Bak Kut Teh 叶全肉骨茶
Ever think of having great bak kut teh outside Klang? I have found one in Puchong. The shop, which l
ocated in Kampung Baharu Puchong, opposite Puchong Utama serves bak kut teh with quality that can compete with those found in Teluk Pulai, Klang (as far as I know, haha).
The shop serves both the dried and soup bak kut teh. I like the soup served here because it tastes ligter. However the meat is a bit chewy, but still not too bad.
The dried bak kut teh is more popular here. Served in darkish colour, with the mix of lady fingers, dried chilli, dried shrimp and dried cuttle fish (which I can see) is really scrumptuous. The uniqueness of this cuisine is it doesn't taste like the traditional bak kut teh. It tastes a bit spicy amid the tangy smell of dried cuttle fish and dried shrimp. The meat is more tender compare to the soup version and is cooked very well with it's gravy. The mix of lady fingers makes the cuisine become a bit sticky.
One thing that I would like to highlight here is the rice. It has a gentle pandan smell, very puffy and not too oily. The fragrance aroma from the rice is really tempting.
I visited the shop last friday at around 8.30pm. Fortunately I reached earlier because the restaurant has been running out of its bak kut teh at about 9pm.

Hoi Tong Steamboat 海塘 (自助) 铁板生锅
We went for birthday celebration at Hoi Tong Steamboat Restaurant last saturday.Hmm...the last time
we held the birthday celebration there was 3 years ago, and it was my birthday! There's a reason we don't frequent the place within the 3 years. hahaha..of course the cause is neither the restaurant nor the food.Let my friends recall...
Restaurant Hoi Tong Steamboat has a generous serving of steamboat items including variety of meatballs, vegetables(leafty, mushroom...), seafoods(prawn, fish, crab, squid, scallop...) and marinated meats as well. The main attraction of this restaurant is that they provide hot plates for customers to fry the food themselves. Banana leaves and butters are provided abundantly for this purpose. We were indeed having a lot of fun frying and eating the marinated chicken, squid, fish, scallop, prawn with eggs (my friend's favourite) and mutton(my bf's favourite). As for the soup, there are 2 types of soup available, tomyam and herbal. I prefer the herbal soup because the tomyam soup is too spicy for me. :p
Restaurant Hoi Tong Steamboat also serves ice-cream, fruits and jelly as its desserts. 4 types of ice-cream are provided here, which includes chocolate, vanilla, yam and corn. One interesting sight in this restaurant is that there is always a long queue for the ice-cream.
We spent almost 3 hours frying+boiling, eating, chit-chatting and savouring the yummy ice-cream until our stomach nearly explode.
