We were very lucky to find this Hai Peng Kopitiam (coffeeshop) on our way to Kuala Terengganu although its building is nondescript and plain. This kopitiam (coffeeshop) is very popular amoung the local folks as you can see a big crowd in the kopitiam during tea time that day. The kopitiam is run by chinese. All races including malay are enjoying their coffee in the kopitiam, which means the food served in Kedai Kopi Hai Peng are consumable by muslim (Halal). The kopitiam gives us some touch of nostalgia with some antique collections displaying in the shop.

Its 3 in 1 coffee was first introduced by my friend, which was brought by his friend from Terengganu. He told me that this coffee only can be found in Terengganu. No wonder I never come across this brand in any of the hypermarkets.

One of the reasons I prefer this home made traditional coffee to the famous coffee like Coffeebean or Starbuck is that the coffee brewed wouldn't make me feel headache after drinking it. The mild coffee aroma and the right sweetener and creamer makes the coffee perfect. I addict to it after my first mouthful of the coffee.

If you like the coffee, you have the option to buy their coffee in sachets and brew and enjoy it at home. 20 sachets of 3 in 1 coffee in a box for RM 24.90. The different and special taste of the coffee may justify the price.

Besides traditional coffee, it also serves toaste, nasi dagang (Terengganu local specialty), nasi lemak, etc. It is really a great place for your breakfast, lunch and tea time.
